Guest Artist: Nevada City painter, Margie Miller, will speak to the Grandes Dames on Thursday, May 15th. Her slide show will include an interactive discussion entitled "What is Good Art?". A graduate from the art department at U.C Davis, Margie did postgraduate training in fine art at the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts. She has been an art instructor to children and adults for over 20 years and is a frequent lecturer at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. Her recent exhibit of paintings "The View from Here" was on display at the Center for the Arts in February 2008. View highlights from her recent show and see her work at www.margiemiller.com.

More than your average flea market or rummage sale, this event will gather together a broad array of fine artwork, jewelry, crystal, silver, china, exceptional furniture and rugs, musical instruments in working condition (pianos, violins, flutes, guitars, etc.), wonderful pottery, quality vintage or ‘wearable art’ clothing, and precious or prestigious specialty items.
